KAIMAI RAMBLERS' TRAMPING GROUP
Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, NZ

About the KAIMAI RAMBLERS'

Tramping Group

An Introduction:

Our group was formed in late 2002 and has since grown steadily. We tramp every Wednesday with anything from 10 to 20 trampers. Most of our tramps are in the Kaimai section of the Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park along with excursions to other areas such as Karangahake, Waihi, Whangamata, Rotorua and Whakatane. We are very fortunate to be able to enjoy the local Kaimai-Mamaku Forest park facilities along with other opportunities within easy driving distance of Tauranga.

The main intention of the group is to provide an interesting range of tramps for dedicated regular attendees rather than catering for occasional or casual trampers. The make-up of the group is mainly in the 50 plus age group, with some younger trampers involved as well. There is a fairly even gender balance and we are proud of the fact that everyone gets along very well and we all have a lot of fun during each tramp.

We are very pleased to welcome anyone of any age, who has the necessary fitness and stamina to join us for enjoyable tramps. If you are interested, you can get more information from any of the contacts listed below.

See our other website pages for more information on tramping with our group and other details such as where we meet and, more importantly, where we have coffee after a day in the bush.
